what cycle tyre pressure?

i have replaced my standard mountain bike tyres with some 26" x 1.50 tyres (scwalbe city jets)

the tyre states a maximum of 85 psi

i am mostly riding on cycle paths and roads.

can anyone advise on what tyre pressure too aim for front and back?

Firstly, you'll need an accurate gauge to check pressure is correct.

I'd say best thing to do is experiment and see what you prefer, after all, you're the one riding the bike.

If they're mainly for road use, try 60psi and see how things go from there.

85psi, if riding on roads. Usually you can lower front slightly.

I'd go for 80 myself.
