Hi i just set up mint and was a bit disappointed with the standard icons, so asking if you have changed and to what, i changed the desktop to the Tara Abstraction theme, so that should show what i like atm.
So any recommendations for icons to match ?

Would help to know what DE you are running? No clue to what the default one is in mint.

If kde look in systemsettings>Icons then near bottom click on "Get new Icons" You will then see a rather large list ;)

I really like just stock Gnome at the moment.

It is very snappy and well optimized.
