What difficulty settings do you play games on..

Basically as title, whenever i play games i always play normal or if i heard that the game is easy i play it on the hardest setting. I dont play games on easy else the game will be finished within a week easily. If im playing a fps and ive finished it on normal and the hardest setting, i usually go on the easiest setting and just kane it.

I had great fun when i first played COD2 it took me ages to complete, i decided to play it on the hardest setting my first time round. It took me about a month to finish. Afterwards i played it on easy and had a lot of fun walking around like terminator and finsihed it in 2 sittings:p
 
Always go for the hardest to increase longevity. Might as well get my monies worth!
 
easy here, i like to enjoy my games, not get frustrated and leave, everyones different, although saying that there has been a few exceptions such as COD, HALO. Rarely play games a 2nd time either
 
Depends what the game is and my experience on them, FPS games are usually on the hardest settings, racing sims usually the Easiest. Beat'em ups are usually on the hardest everything else on medium/easy.
 
Halo: hardest

Everything else: normal, easy usually cripples the experience immensely.

I hardly play single player and when I do I don't want to be pathetic and get annoyed at a computer game =/
 
Normal, but if I fail at something more than a few times I'll move it too easy or just give up.

Pretty much the only games that ever get moved to the hardest difficulty are sports games.
 
I never felt that extending the play time of a game by upping the difficulty made me feel like I was getting more value for money. It just turns a pleasant experience into a not so pleasant one for me. I usually stick to medium difficulty.

I -really- do not like to die repeatedly on one section of a game. I don't have much patience, and the little of it I have I have to use it on my family. Trust me, they need it more :p
 
always start the game on normal, as thats the way its meant to be played. if i like it enough or if theres enough incentive then i will replay it on a harder setting :)
 
Depends on the game, something with a story I'm interested in such as MGS4 or Uncharted I play through on Easy first, and then 2nd play through I will try my hand at the hardest setting.

Something like Vegas2 I played on Realistic right from the start.
 
always go for heroic, what about games other than halo i hear you say? what other games i reply! :D

i usually play on either normal or hard, or if i just want a kill fest i'll whack the setting to easy
 
Normal. I give up on games too easily - if a level frustrates me for too long I'm liable to put the game down and never pick it up again.
