Hey guys,

I have some semblance of budget this month, depending on how naughty I want to be.

I need a few things (when i say need, I mean want, as my PC is technically fully operational and fine) which are the following:

new SSD for a boot drive
new case cause mine looks poop
some new fans - most of mine are knackered and rattle a lot, bearings gone

I can't decide whether to upgrade my core hardware as well, I only play WoW really - I've made a few threads about my cpu/graphics in different parts of forum.

Can someone recommend how to spend my budget between, idk £25 (being very sensible) and £175 (being a fool) :D

Cheers!

I had looked at the 530 NZXT, but then I saw the Coolermaster Cosmos 2 and fell in love, but it's absurdly expensive for what I'm going to fit into it, sure it will future proof me, but a better one is bound to come out soon :O

I was looking at the samsung 840s for my SSD, I want something realllllllllllllllly fast :O

Thanks for the input guys :)

The case isn't essential per say, but if I go for a new case, I might splash out on something tasty, NZXT or CM etc..

Which is my best bet for SSD as far as performance goes? I'd go 120GB minimum this time, 60GB is insufficient for a boot drive imo, constantly getting warnings about low drive space, gets very frustrating! D:

I just got a 120gb sammy basic ssd for £71 which is a really good price. Might just be me but I had 3 of the kingston ones and they all went bad so I would stay clear.

Yes a new case and ssd would suite your needs plus you get all the fun of transfering everything and cable management i know a lot dread this but i find it fun.

I would go for ones of these cases along with a 120GB SSD, that should keep you reasonably within budget.

My personal preference would be this

YOUR BASKET
1 x Plextor M5S 128GB Solid State Drive - (PX-128M5S) £79.99
1 x Corsair Carbide 200R Compact ATX Case - Black £47.95
Total : £139.04 (includes shipping : £9.25).

Plextor use the same OEM for their drives as Intel.

However if you would rather have the Samsung drive go for one. In the real world there is very little difference between the two.
