What do do in Newcastle?

- digital and tigertiger are always good.
- legends is an awesome rock bar if you like that sort of music
- debauchery on a friday night at venue or dirty pop at the o2 on a friday, though there is a big poly vs posh pub crawl on friday night that will be going there.
- Linekers is pretty good

also check out the aspers casino at the gate

He's going to Newcastle ;)

:D

I resent that comment :p the women of Newcastle are nice and friendly...just be careful which ones you end up with.

As for places to go, you have plenty to choose from:

Digital
Sea Nightclub
Tup Tup Palace
Perdu
Florita's Beach Bar
Chase
Bar Beyond

Depending on your music taste Sea and Digital (upstairs that is) both do RnB on a sat and I know the DJs personally so they come highly recommended.

Tup Tup Palace is not what the name suggests lol...mainly cos its the size of a box for most of it, but you do get your classy women in there as you do in Sea as well. Tup Tup, along with Florita's and Perdu are all on what's now been called 'The Diamond Strip' of Newcastle. Basically posh bars and nightclubs starting from Revolution and ending with Tup Tup Palace.

The choice is yours mate but Sea, Digital and Tup Tup Palace are your best bets. And don't be getting too cosy cos they'll all be closing around 2am or 3am. :)

Oh and like others have said: DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THE BIGG MARKET. That includes Blu Bambu (trust me I use to work there and also Sea but Sea is a lot nicer). If I was to choose one place to go to in The Bigg Market it would be The City Vaults.

Bar Beyond is in a complex known as The Gate which is next door to a host of other places like Tiger Tiger and Sam Jacks. Avoid the latter like the plague if you want to stay alive. Why that bar was not put in the Bigg Market I will never know. And there you have it :D

Cheers guys, getting in late on a Fri night so will have to check some of these places out.

Any other recommendations, anything good to do during the day?

culture or shopping?

metro centre if you want to shop..if you are not driving you can get a train from central station that takes about 10 minutes

to enrich your mind..centre for life, discovery museum or the Hancock museum, the Baltic art gallery or the Laing..or just go for a wander along the quayside to take photos of the sage and the bridges

if you are driving you could head up the Tyne Valley for some nice scenery or down to Durham to see the castle and the cathedral

Sunderland are playing Arsenal but it may already be sold out if you wanted to see a game

failing that retreat to a sports bar somewhere which will have the afternoons football one

food wise.... El torero is a lovely little tapas bar near the castle, not to expensive and decent grub (assumign you dont just want fast food)

and of you want real beer The Bridge has a great range (again its right beside the Keep and not to far from central station) and for late nights out I favour the O2 academy as it just plays better music to suit my tastes..but then I'm just a student thats never grown out of or my musical past

I used to love the Bigg Market but it is has gone way downhill in the last few years. It is rammed with chavs and two can van dammes.

The Quayside is hard to beat for a night out.

now to be fair, theres nothing quite like watching 2 18 stones fat lasses in leggings slugging it out whilst their shared rat faced boyfriend looks on with can of Ace and his greggs pastie in hand

what do you like ? what sort of music ? what sort of clubbing/pubbing ? which weekend you going ?

hard to make suggestions with so little info

I have to say, the thing that struck me most about Newcastle whats how little the ladies (probably being overly kind there) wore on a night out when it was freezing. Must be all the fat that keeps them warm

My brother used to run two diffrent bars on the Bigg market, that sounds like his idea of a quiet night.
