What do I do now 2600k....

I have a 2600k at 4.5 at the moment but have a1700x and crosshair on order (bundle deal). The extra cores will be useful for me (dev work and just lots of apps open when I'm doing anything creative), also having access to a newer motherboard and all the tech/features that they have now compared to 5 years ago (more USB3/C PCIE 3 M.2 (I have a drive on order as well) etc.). Any extra performance in games will be a nice bonus and I just wanted something shiny and new after all these years.

I've also got a 2600K at 4.5 and considering a 1700 or a 1600 for more cores and new motherboard features, as well as having some warranty on my parts again. But I don't feel the need to upgrade at all. The two best upgrades for performance these days seem to be SSDs and graphics cards.
