What do I need? An Android Head Unit or a Parrot System

Are the Parrot units actually any good? I've been looking at several different manufacturers, but i'm put off by Parrot because they run an absolute ancient version of Android (2.3).

Someone pointed out Xtrons in another thread, and they've got android 4.4 and 5.x units with all the features you need, and for a fairly good price.

You can just get a cheap standard head unit
Single DIN
for example I got a JVC X310BT recently, BT, AUX, USB. It cost 59.99, and BT works excellently and my brother tells me (who has a Mki 9200) that the mic quality is actually better through the mic on my head unit
BT playthrough works perfectly well also, only issue is the contacts/phonebook is terrible and screen is very small relatively, but in my case it was much cheaper

Or I got a double din Alpine unit with ipod, usb and Bluetooth for £100 off the rainforest. Does everything you're needing, better sound quality than standard and cheap. As well as I find it easier to fit than parrot systems. I've been down this route on several cars in the last few years. Works great.

I did have to "build" a signal converter like thing to keep the Harman Kandon amp and stuff in my Range Rover when I used one in that. Might be a similar solution for your Saab on the forums if that's an issue in yours. Was only 5 resistors or so IIRC.
