What Do We Think Of Dark Messiah

your rig shld be able to run Dark Messiah no problem. Runs fine on mine maxed and havent needed to patch at all so far *shrugs* :)
 
There is part of the game when you have to kill a cyclops but it kept on crashing back to the desktop. I was told to increase the Windows pagefile (the PC uses hard disk as memory and hence the larger the page file the greater the amount of overall memory slow though a hard disk is) to 6 GB which allowed the game to run pas this problem.

Great Game, I have been playing SP this morning, best is when you get full adrenaline and can slice legs and heads offf, it goes slow motion for a couple secs and you get to see all the blood slowly through the air ! Excellent

Looks very tasty with everything maxxed on my 8800 GTS 320 :P
 
i only played the first level in the demo, because at first it crashed twice when i set textures to very high (my pc is perfectly capable of it though), and then it crashed after i did the tutorial level, so i didnt get to play that.

But the combat was pretty fun, my give it a try but hope it dosent crash as much.
 
i was thinking of getting this, cos i created a post back looking for a assassin type dark grungy game, and this looks to be the closest there is atm with decent gfx, anyone got high texture piccies?

It was good fun, but got a bit repetitive, although it did look absolutely awesome, even on my ancient 6800 PCI-E. 8/10. It just got boring. Might have another bash at it sometime.
 
Ive got a pretty crappy pc so I couldnt experience the whole game, the Temple of the Spider level dominated my pc. I wont say what happened due to spoilers but that bloody lightning attack got me over and over cause the framerate dropped and I couldnt move!

If youve got a good pc, go for it. Awesome, awesome game (well, for what ive played). If youve got an average one, get it anyway and hope itll run smoothly.
 
Started playing last night on my 4000+ and X1800XT

Lush graphics, lush gameplay, just did the rooftop chase of the ghoul, was really fun for some reason, like being in my own action movie, lol
 
Yeah, fun game, most disappointing ending ever, completing it doesn't really leave you feeling satisfied but there are some great fun parts in it. Also runs nicely at 1280x1024 maxed on my rig AMD 3700, 2gig DDR and a 6800gs :p
 
i downloaded the full game through steam on Friday night, finished it Sat night.

Good game, gfx are excellent running at max, however, i did find myself hearing sounds in the game i could swear that they came from HL2. I think when you kill one of the bad guys you can hear the sound you get when you start using a med station in HL. I also found myself in certain areas wondering what i was supposed to be doing.

I enjoyed it though, good game and worth the cash.

However, on a side note, when you get access to the V button and gain that extra skill ;) Did anyone actually use it??
 
Saw it on Steam for $20, which is a good price really.

Reviews put me off, supposed to rival and better Oblivion, but in the end got nowhere near.

What do people who own both think, or should i go for Shivering Isles instead?
 
edit- i'd go with dark messiah over an addon! However i'd have to say dark messiah doesn't even compete with oblivion, even though they're both fantasy and share some similar elements they're just so different.

very good game i highly reccomend it :cool: i prefere the combat system to oblivions it feels more right..

anyway buy it! multiplayer isnt too bad either!
