what do yo find most annoying when building your computer?

sharp metal parts inside, dont feel the cut but see the blood over all the nice new case .

i only had one hard heatsync and that was my old athlon 2200 one.

worst one is installing xp. takes too long.

want to play a game as soon as posible.

Sharp edges on hard drive cages and other random bits that give u small cuts you cant feel but see the blood dripped on bits. Then have to clean it off and scourer the Mobo looking for drips of blood that could short it :(
O and tidying cables.

heatsink, when i put my noctua on i had to get somebody to hold it down so i could screw the spring screws in :(

You dont have sharp parts if u buy a decent case :p

I hate the bit when the wires are running all over the place :S and you gotta try and run them properly as much as possible.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the front panel connectors, they are always annoying. As for the rest, I invariably cut myself while assembling a PC but it doesn't bother me much, I've done it so often it is more or less expected. :)

You'd think there'd be an industry standard by now. ASUS tried with the Q-connector but it doesn't seem to have caught on. It's a bit of a throwback to the AT days.

+ 1 vote for the OS. I feel dirty installing Windows unless it's completely streamlined and integrated using nlite. Even then I feel dirty using it :)

yea gotta agree with that never had a build that didn't draw a little blood

but i always find the cables the most frustrating sometime is seem the mobo maker has deliberatly gone out there way to place sockets and jumper in the most anoying of places wires rinning all over the case when a little thought as to where the placed connectors could make the builders life so much better

Wiring up the front panel buttons of the case to the motherboard, HDD led...etc :o

I usually find the cpu/heatsink the most annoying part, that was lovely and easy building an E6600 system earlier in the week. Wiring up the front panel however was unusually annoying, ecpecially as i failed to notice id cut my hand until i noticed blood dripping into the case  .

Putting in the SATA drivers for a fresh windows xp installation. I only have 1 floppy drive, so I have to unscrew it from the computer, move it, try to fit in the cable, hold the floppy drive in my hand while windows reads it etc

Why couldn't they just integrate it. +the method i found on the net never worked and I think theres problems with it when used with nlite or something
