Watch his videos here. Do you think what he does is plain magic or just VERY good editing skills? He has been getting a lot of attention from the members there if you can notice. If you read the comments on his last video called "Goodbye" he mentions that he has signed a contract with a TV production company and etc. But still i can say he's a damn good illusionist.

Just watched four of his clips at random.

I can do all of them, and I'm very much an amateur. They are well known effects. I will say however that he does possess skill, and a good image, plus he is only 16 which will help his career.

Magic is a biiig thing in the States at the moment with people like Criss Angel inspiring a lot of youngsters.

EDIT - In fact the more the I watch of this guy the more I realise how basic the stuff he is doing is. The music and image is good but some of it is blatant video editing and most of it is the same technique used several times in different ways. He needs to expand his repetoire tbh, its become unimpressive very quickly.

I quite like it, his presentation is pretty cool especially with the V For Vendetta mask (even if it is a little unoriginal) :)

the stuff he was doing wasnt bad.. but im not usually impressed by magic anyway, and this stuff didnt exactly astound me..
or shoudl it?
i dont know! that doesnt mean im saying I could do it either :p

I’ve just been watching Derren Brown’s “Devil’s Picture book” so I might be expecting too much from “illusionists” at the moment but even at 16 I think he has below par repertoire. His “slight of hand” isn’t so slight and the use of camera editing completely discredits his performances. Anyone willing to do that doesn’t really understand the philosophy behind the tricks and illusions they are performing and it shows in their execution. That said he is 16 so we can put it down to that.

If he really has got a contract I sincerely hope he gets his act together and starts adding something to the tricks instead of just performing them. He obviously takes influence from the modern performers, adopting the shock value with simple but effective tricks, other than that I don’t see what else he’s offering. Aside from the appeal to peers for being able to go viral at 16 all he does is wear a mask which will really hinder and close quarters tricks where double timing and stops will need to play a part. Crowd’s eyes will start to wander places they aren’t meant to if they are dealing with something impersonal and frightening, which is an aspect even David Blane manages to avoid. [/disgusting rant on a stranger]

there is a pretty noticeable camera edit at 0.18s

I'm not convinced... that'd be very hard to do, since his whole body is in the shot - and would have to be perfectly positioned in the second record...
