I disagree - whether something is technically amazing, aesthetically pleasing or thought provoking is entirely subjective. It may be the intention of the artist to achieve some or all of those goals. he may fail entirely but he has still been through the creative process and made art, albeit art which fails to generate a positive response. I refer you back to the poo.
