What do you do in your lunch break?

Mainly interested for those in an office with a normal 9-5 and 1 hour lunch like me, just wondered what you do at lunch and more importantly what you think is acceptable during lunch breaks.

For example, a lot of the internet is blocked here - but is watching iplayer for an hour okay, or watching a DVD on your PC? What about playing the DS Lite or something similar? Never quite sure where the boundaries are.

What about drinking - is there a pub culture where you are? It used to be quite big here but has now dwindled to just a handful of people and only Friday lunchtimes.

When I am feeling contstructive I normally do some OU work, personal reading or go to the driving range. When not in an inspired mood normally just surf the web or post here! Oh and eat.

I just walk to the shop and back which takes me about 40 minutes. By the time I'm back I just eat my lunch and have a quick surf of the net.

Sometimes go for a lunch time pint, but most people here just prefer to sit at their desks eat and surf the net.

9-5 for me and 1hr (or thereabouts :D) lunch break.

I usually go for a mosey in to the town center and have a look around some shops, stretch the legs etc.

Then I come back, troll forums and eat food pretty much. I sometimes also do some food shopping (for home) and whack it in the company fridge.

That is really about it!

Usually I eat, browse the web and listen to my friend filling me in on all the latest Big Brother news.

After lunch today, we are going to watch Pay It Forward with some popcorn. :D

depends what shift i am on

if 6-2 i have a banana then a tangerine

if 2-10 i have a tangerine then a banana

life doesnt get anymore exciting

i only get 22 mins lunch breaks so theres not a lot of time to do anything but eat and chat

Yeah its your lunch break do what the hell you want. It is not as if you can get that inebriated in an hour anyway. We have a pool table, table football, air hockey, TVs, books. I don't think there are any restrictions tbh

Browse, chat, listen to music, wonder down shops, chat on msn.

Can do all to an extent apart from shopping when I'm not on lunch so long as I don't take the **** and haven't got anything else to be doing :p

All day - Forum
Lunch break - nip out to the shop for some dinner, come back and eat whilst reading the forum.

With some work inbetween.

If i'm out at the other office then no forum for me as i'm usually busy :(

If I could take a 15 minute lunch and go home 45 minutes earlier, then I happily would. Unfortunately that's not the case :(

if i've missed something (usually top gear, i'll watch it on iplayer, although sometimes i'll just have it on while i'm working. I usually pop into the city centre, grab something to eat, do anything i need to do and just have a potter about, today I will be going to ****** and then along to sainsburys to pick up a sarnie before heading back
fun
fun
fun!

Go to 'The Wardrobe' and have a coffee and try and do the YEP crossword lol...

Not very exciting, but we vary it by going to a turkish wrap place, or even the saraha spicy tuna/cheese place near by :)

just get out the office for 60 mins :)

i cant really do that but i can take my lunch at 4, i usually do if i have an appointment or something that means i need to leave early.
odd ethic here though, i can arrive upto an hour late, no one bats an eyelid, but leave before 4:55 or after 5:05 and people think you're weird
