What do you do in your lunch break?

I usually go for a ciggie at start of lunch and just before end of lunch.....inbetween surf net or chat with friends at the restaurant, however, last night I had my last cigarette and I dont know what to do with all this free time.
 
Generally mooch about work, go for a drive in the local hills, if my gf is working the shift then ill hang out with her or head down the local for a guinness and some enchiladas!! om nom and indeed nom!!
 
I get 30 mins here so I tend to go for a walk or spend 15 min in the restaurant and 15 mins back at my desk
 
What lunch break?! :(

Then again I am a work a-holic and tend to do a minimum of 10.5hrs a day... God I'm such a mug :/

However I eat constantly throughout the day so it'd be pointless me having a specified lunch break.
 
The last job I had, I only had 30mins for lunch although it was a 9-5 job. It'd take about 10mins to walk into the city centre so sometimes I'd do that if I needed to buy something or felt like a walk, and eat my lunch at my desk while working (which was always fine because I generally did twice as much work as everyone else anyway).
If I didn't go for a walk, I'd sit and have lunch in the kitchen and have a read. But often I'd just be bored. I'd have rathered be able to just work through lunch and leave earlier, pity it's not possible. At least it was paid though :)

The job before that was a call centre and we had a 1hr unpaid lunch break but nowhere to go as it was located just off a motorway junction. So the options were McDonalds, walk over to a overpriced Texaco garage or stay in the building. The centre had a canteen open in the week but I worked weekends and it was shut then :/ So I'd just sit there and watch people play pool. It felt less of a waste of time as the job was fairly hard mentally so it was nice to have a break away from taking abusive calls every 3 seconds.

Bah, I can do anything, as long as I'm back...at some point.

Being in a relaxed IT office is great. Normally on lunch I just have some food and play a bit of quake with the other IT guys (oh yeah, we're proper IT guys :D :p). Sometimes we go down to the pub and have a few, we spend as much time doing what we like as we want. Spent about 2 hours playing quake today. It is quiet at the moment mind.

go sit in the canteen and have a laff. if im near my house (out in van) ill have dinner at home
on a friday i meet the wife for dinner
 
i work 9-5.30 and only get half an hours lunch. so i dont have much time to do anything. i usually just sit in the kitchen and listen to radio or sit in the office on pc for a bit
 
My wife's back to work now after her maternity leave so her sister looks after Eoin (my son) during the day while we're at work, I tend to head over and pester him every lunchtime.
 
I usually continue to work and sit down for 5mins to have a snack and check email, although ended up taking the full hour today.
 
I go over the the office building (from the factory building) eat my lunch and read either a mag or a book.

I take lunch for 45 mins at about 11 (I work 7-3), so I get some nice peace and quiet because nobody else is on lunch.
