People decide that a small mist needs front and back fog lights on in there car. Coming to work tonight there was at least a dozen cars with them on. Do you flash them flash fogs full beam them till they realise ignore them give them the finger whilst going past them? I tend to give them a quick flash and get past them as soon as I can.

I would only give a crap if they were on the opposite side of the road driving towards me. From behind I'd probably not even register that someone had their fogs on.

Even when I do notice it and get annoyed by it, I don't do anything. Life's too short to be flashing idiots for having their fog lights on.

Only a dozen? About 99% of morons had them on in my area.

Even during the day they have them on, it's about time the police culled a few for blinding the rest of us.

Going home on the motorway last month I had sunglasses on because the sun was in my eyes, yet at least half the carriageway had lights on, not sidelights either, they had full beam on. It is still daylight!!! What are you all doing??!

people turn them on all the time when its raining which is annoying because thats the best time to blind other road users with bright lights reflecting up off the road..

i normally full beam them till they turn it off..

Can't say it ever bothers me unless as I said I'm going past them in the opposite direction. Even then, I don't think it's something worth getting your jimmies all rustled over.

I guess I've just never been dazzled by it. Might be a different story if I had been.

From what I remember of the highway code, fog lights are only to be used when visibility drops below 10 meters. We don't have many motorways here in NI but even in a city centre peeps still think fog lights are acceptable at the first sign of fog !!! Nope (see above).

100 metres!

It's a good job I don't use the highway code anymore. Quite a difference between 10 and 100 metres.... 90 I think?? Christ I would be dead in a day on the English motorways !!

Encountering all sorts of idiots with front fogs on coming towards me now with this weather on my way home from work. Almost totally blinds me, tbh. Country road with no ambient lighting plus 2/5 bumpkins with their fogs on = not a comfortable drive.

Driving home this morning, visibility was about the distance of two street lights...less than a quarter of cars had any fog lights on at all.

I probably concentrate on making sure I'm using the road in a safe manner for me and other road users, instead of trying to police the roads and the other people using them.

I hate rear fog lights on in slight/no mist, luckily I live in a town with 95% dual carriageways so generally just over take them. I just live with front fogs now as 99% of people think they are a fashion accessory to have on all the time anyway, they are also generally not as in your face as rear fogs.

What is wrong with having your rear fog light on in fog?

I can understand the front fog lights and to be honest I have never seen front fog lights doing anything helpful.
