The fogs on our Golf come on when you go around corners.....

Fog light don't bother me, neither do high beams that much. There is plenty of more important things to get stressed out about.

I agree. Its pretty standard now for people to use normal mains and "driving lights" aka Fog lights at the front, certainly round here.

I only have a problem with people using full beams and either not realising or just not caring. Im fine with normal main lights and fogs as they dont dazzle or in fact do anything other than make your car look like a truck from a distance

If fog lights on the front aka "driving lights" as most now call them, bother you then maybe you need your eyesight testing for light sensitivity or something.

Annoyingly on my car in order to havevthe rear dogs on I have to put my fronts on, have pulled a couple of times for it so just show the nice police officer that I have to due to the way the switch is wired and they let me on my merry way. Only ever use fogsin fog though.

Lots of people around here have front fogs on even when it's clear conditions.

I hate it, I also hate those bright blue-tint headlights everyone seems to be using these days, I'm sick of being blinded on the road. If it gets any worse I'll need to start wearing sunglasses at night.

fog lights are cool, i also switch me neons on and xenon lights during the day. the razzas haven't caught me once. i encourage you'all to get wiv d times.

'Driving lights' are sidelights. Not fog lights, which dazzle oncoming drivers, hence against the highway code except in heavy fog.

Being flashed in face by Xenons because an oncoming car is coming up hill is far worse. Or those ***** retro-fit HID lamps in non-projector headlamps.

I do nothing. Its rare that i find front fog lights dazzling or any more annoying than head lights. Only rear fogs are a problem, but most people don't tend to use these unless needed.

Yes i know you missed the point, your average driver now considers fog lights as driving lights. Just see how many have them on in normal night conditions, its become pretty standard now to have 2 or 4 main lights plus fogs on :eek:

Then again they dazzle far less than stupid xeon lights on such cars as modern Audis or Bmws.. they really seem to dazzle far worse than fog lights do.

I sometimes think people have their beams on and qive em a quick flash only to be flashed by them and have half a second of daylight blasted at me!

It's not the Xenons they are projected carefully so the beam does not dazzle oncoming traffic. Very rarely if you go over a speed bump or you're going uphill against traffic coming downhill you may dazzle someone.

On the other hand, the daytime running lights (the LED strips) are ridiculously bright. It's completely unnecessary. They were cool on an R8. Now they're not cool because they're on bloody everything.
