What do you guys think of the new mac keyboard?

I like the new keyboard, it's nice to have the space between keys.

However, they should have had an all-silver design, or a silver with black keys design; the white keys on silver just don't look right.

I must be the only person who like the white on silver.

I really like it, both the looks and the feel of it when you type. Can't quite get used to the caps lock key though. How's it actually meant to work?

A firm positive press on the Caps lock key will activate it.
None of this "I'll-use-caps-lock-instead-of-shift-every-time-I-just-want-to-capitalise-a-single-word-cos-I-dont-know-any-better-so-that's-why-I-press-it-half-heartedly-thinking-it-will-work" nonsense.
It also prevent accidental presses.:)

I got a new silver keyboard last week; I replaced my 'chunky white' wireless keyboard with this. I have to say I can type a LOT faster than on my old keyboard. I think its because the keys don't have to be pressed down as far or does it take as much effort to press the keys. The only thing I don't like is the re-arranged éxpose keys, or the volume keys. I'm still reaching for the numpad and pressing stuff before realising they have changed! I'm sure I'll get used to it though!

Just like anything, you get used to it. I find my fingers more gliding over keys eventually rather than hammering down on them.

Anyone know if there is a similar one for PCs? I don't really like using them but i need a very quiet keyboard and these must be pretty much as quiet as you can get!

Maybe the Advent KBW100?

I still have the new applie keyboard but I've switched back to my old crappy logitech wireless keyboard now as it's just a lot more satisfying to type on and I won't feel guilty when subjecting it to my fist during a bad CSS session..

The insert key has been replaced by the Fn key, but if you wiki it they mention something about it still working on the help key? cant give anymore than that as i dont use it myself.

I've had the wireless version of this for about a month and a bit, it's really impressive. I've not had to change the batteries, not had to clean it, nor have I missed the number-pad not being there.

It really is a pleasure to type with :)

You should be banned from these for posting that crap here. Even using the word Advent should be a ba Forums baning offense. :p

Logitech do quite a nice wireless mouse and keyboard set for Macs, the S530. Looks good, but they really should have made it Bluetooth.
