What do you guys use to put your multimedia stuff through the walls?

tbh when I bought my speaker cable I made sure about it being copper and not copper coated but I forgot to mention. You are right!

If you’re going to buy some and put it into the wall better going for something worthwhile, there is cable like the van damme cables which must be blessed with holy water or something! they were crazy expensive and I couldn’t justify it, even for my Miller & Kriesel
Speakers. I’m not that much of an audiophile where I could likely hear the difference!

For someone on a tight budget the Kable Direkt stuff from Germany is good value. Its all-copper, and available in 1.5, 2.5 and 4.0 mm sizes.

Van Damme is fine, although the double insulation on the blue stuff is possibly a bit OTT for some applications. They do a home cinema version with just the semi-clear jacket like the KB stuff, but I can't figure out why it's more expensive than the blue.... Is it the Hi-Fi tax?

Whenever I have installed for folk it's always had to be fire rated stuff if going in-wall. The pink multicore is a bit of a go-to, particularly in a building site where there's a chance some Herbert will stick a nail or screw through one of the cores.

The solid copper isn't normally that expensive anyway (by solid i mean the stranded stuff, so 99.99% Cu or whatever it is). Also go for extra though, would be annoying if you ran out midway through a run.
