What do you hate shopping for?

For anyone else rather than myself

Any store that has that annoying Jake or Amanda that pops out of the thong section, asking if they can help you

I hate this too. Just want to browse without fuss. I couldn’t do this myself. Do retailers understand that we don’t want this?

Also shops such as B&M and Poundland want to flog off some chocolate to you. If I wanted some chocolate, I would have put it in my basket! Unsure they can do that now with the HFSS (high in fats, sugar and salt) regulations stated beginning this month. Not been to these shops this month.

Shoes is horrendous, clothes is tedious. I’ve been using Thread for a while but barely bought anything from it. I tried it because I hated looking in actual shops. But I start looking at stuff, start adding to basket and think “I’ll get a selection to try on” but then you’ve got to put like 3 different sizes in to make sure one thing fits. Then it all turns up and none of it fits and you just have more life admin to do by returning it, checking it’s refunded (correctly) etc. Argh.

And then buying literally anything nowadays involves weeks of research on the net. I remember someone on here saying it’s horrible because literally when you want to buy anything (like a kettle? :p) you can find hundreds of reviews, YouTube videos etc. Totally unnecessary but you can’t not fall down the rabbit hole :o

Christmas and birthday presents, hate shopping for them, trying to guess what people will like/dislike.

I also hate receiving those presents. Much rather get cash/gift card and buy what I want not what someone else thinks I want.

I don't mind shopping for myself, although this quite a rare experience.

I hate going clothes shopping with/for the wife for obvious reasons.

Shopping with my 5 year old son is also a bit of a nightmare as he gets bored easily and he becomes a real pain.

Once you find what you want there is then the 3 day search for a 50p off voucher.

It used to be food shopping, purely down to the amount of time it took.

I've done our food shopping online for years now and never shop in store unless it's for the odd item.

So much quicker and easier.

It also helps that I made an app so I can just pick the recipes I want to eat and it generates the list of ingredients I need.

Love going on price comparison websites and scroll to the bottom of results. I pay just under £200 for my car insurance. Who is stupid enough to pay £6,700 for insurance when in their early 40s, been driving for almost 20 years and got 15 years of no claims???
Probably the same person that pays £950 for a PS5:cry:

Everything unless it is white goods as I like to see what I am buying in person. TV's, IKEA etc.

I rarely do food shopping unless it is the evening or really early morning. 9 times out of ten the missus does it.
