What do you pay for your broadband?

I thought the days of employers paying for Internet connections was dead outside of people who have their homes on an IP VPN link back to the office.

~£10pcm for BT Infinity1 until end of 12 month contract, will then shoot up to £25pcm if I stay, so very unlikely!

12 months BT line rental paid up front to save a bit of cash (~£36) over the year.

BT Infinity 2 (76/19) - £29.56
Line Rental - £17.50
Unlimited & Anytime Calls - £7.95
Caller Display & 1571 - £3.72

So roughly £59 per month all in.

Stupid question, do you need to pay line rental for Virgin fibre? Some people are quoting very cheap deals.

£28 a month including phone line

Service is also fantastic, never had any down time at all apart from scheduled maintenance at around 2am on Sunday and I think that has only been 3 or 4 times. In comparison to Sky which used to go down all the time and could never get through to someone when it did

For monthly price info on upgrading, inclusive of 6 month discount;
1Gb - £44.50 bb only
1Gb - £50.5 with phone

100Mb - £26 bb only
100Mb - £32 with phone

£39 a month, which sounds a lot but it used to be 45ms/1.2mb/0.3mb until we got superfast, alas I'm a long distance from the exchange so this is the best balance with noise rates.

For cable (coax) no as it is separate to the telephone line.

We just pay £35ish for 150mb cable and have no phone or TV sub.

I pay £0 for 80/80 with 10ms pings within the UK. Unfortunately it's coming to an end soon as I'm moving and the new place might not even get FTTC (Rightmove said it could and by the time I did a more accurate check it was too late)

Parents pay about £30 at home, and the internet is absolutely terrible. like 5meg maximum.

at work..

For £20 a month on three devices. Again, pretty expensive for what it is

So basically yeah, i have crap internet everywhere except for when I'm out and about and on 4G

Line rental paid upfront plus a discount deal I got I pay £12/m. But this is only for 6 months it then goes up to £15.

Ironically I get faster speeds in the south downs/home counties than I did in London!

The price variance is indeed crazy, recently my mum negotiated with BT for an upgrade from a very limited monthly usage (which she was often going over and being charged) to unlimited, for the same price of ~£7pcm (plus ~£13pcm for line rental by paying a year up front, like me)!
