What do you regret buying the most?

My house. It was a new build in a decent area, and at the time was probably the most affordable I could hope for, everyone said I should buy it to get on the property ladder as nothing better will be likely to come along. Then 5 months later recession time. Now its worth half what I payed for it, but I have 60k of it tied up in a co ownership housing scheme. So yeah serious negative equity up the bum for me. To make things worse they have started building another phase, so every time I come home im greeted with billboards reminding me of how little my house is worth, and how I could have got a huge 4 bedroom detached house for less than I payed for mine if I hadn't listened to my friends and family.

Nikon D3100 + Accessories
Asus Transformer tablet

Both cool at the time but should really think purchases over more before making them and losing interest as soon as I unbox them :D

My biggest regret was buying all those little 'pressies' for the ex-girlfriends' in my life!
What an absolute ***** of good hard cash as for the same accumulated amount I could have bought a Thai-Bride and not had to suffer the inept women who thought they were Jennifer Lopez! (seriously love, your from Dagenham)

Oh and any mobile phone that had a 'windows OS' on it!

Mountain bike, rode it a few times round town and that was it.

It's not worth selling now.

I remember buying mine at the same time. I think we were both looking at the Giant XTC SX for £650 or so then you found a bargain dual suspension iirc.

I have ridden mine a fair bit, certainly don't regret it. Got plans to ride it a lot more and try to get fit again. You should give it another go :).

One purchase i regret among many would have to be a Sony i902 (?) phone bought just before smart phones took over for like £200. Used it once and its now still sitting in the box lol. I really should have sold it sooner as its probably worth peanuts now.

My PSVita. Was hoping for something special from it but nothing so far.

My old Fiat Coupe 20VT LE; biggest waste of money on a car ever just to live a dream I'd had of owning one. Sold it in 6 weeks.

Hazro monitor!

Bought it last year fro £420, and had to buy an Asus last week for £430 because the Hazro is a POS.

Thin Lizzy tickets. They were more than crappy, the support band was even more awful, and we didn’t dare go into the auditorium to see the first band. We left the band to meet themselves. To cap it all we had to walk home in a blizzard. My wife still mentions that evening.

Me SEAT.

Had an absolute blast driving it for 3 years but now that I cannot sell it I'm regretting not thinking about what I was buying!

My flat would be the biggest mistake I've made, but the one throughout my life i always remember as really regretting was when i was about 10-12 or so, I used my birthday money to buy a new SNES game and i just randomly picked out animaniacs from the shelf, which turned out to be utter ****. On top of that i remember seeing Super mario time machine on the way out of the door and thinking to myself "Ah i didn't see that before, should have got that instead" without mentioning anything to my mum.

Odd but it taught me a lesson.

Spent a couple of grand on Canon DSLR lenses for my 450d DSLR. Little did I know that my career was about to get incredibly busy - as a result I've hardly made any use of them :(

Vapochill from overclockers about ten years ago, I had a terrible weekend with it, killed 2 chips, 3 motherboards, set my power supply on fire, killed a floppy disk before selling it for about £200 less than I bought it for the following week.

I lost about £900 that weekend, which was not far off what I was earning at the time for a month.

That's unfortunate, i had tons of fun with a Mach 2GT about 8 years ago, though i was over cautious with the anti condensation gel stuff you smothered your CPU socket in, and spent hours doing the sealent between the head and the motherboard.

Got annoyed with waiting 5 minutes for it to get to temperature before powering the PC on though :D
