the bios has been messed up on my computer for a while. Can this be simply fixed by replacing the motherboard? Or will my operating screw up with a new motherboard. I was fiddling with it recently and when i loaded up my computer the blue light at the bottom of the screen just flashed. usually when this happens a simple restart and the settings go back to normal and no harm done. This didnt happen. NOw my monitor is completely ****ed. So im not sure whether or not the monitor had deteriated then broke or the motherboard has finally packed in or both coincedentally at the same time.
so my monitor is under warranty so im guna chase that up tommorow and get a replacement or fixed. But i still think my motherboard or bios is ****ed. i have flashed the bios with cmos reset before but thats how i messed up bios in the first place. Im running a q6600 on an abit ip35 pro motherboard. Any recomendations to what motherboard i should get to replace it or any way to fix it?

Get someone who knows what theyre doing to check your pc out and test the monitor with another machine before getting in touch with the manufacturer/retailer.

Seems like a coincedence.
As above, get someone who knows a little about PCs to check it out. If you can't even be sure about a faulty monitor you need to get someone else to look at it. :p
