To make that cheaper, you can get the one GTX or just the GT.

I would change the memory you've suggested: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-087-OC

to: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-086-OC&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=813

deffo worth the extra £17 odd squid IMO.

Yes the MB spec looks good, and the price, but do i really need the bigger case and psu? I would like to keep the size and price down but not if it involved the risk of overheating..
any sound card ideas or speakers?
Willing to have better memory if it adds to "futureproofing" and the price is not going to come down any more

Above specs add this.

The PC7+ is a fairly small case.

The 520W is what you need really at minimum.

Id personally get the P182 as its got a good air flow, but you'll have no problems whatsoever with the PC7+.

The speakers, the Aego 2.1's are meant to be very good.

Not with the top spec, he needs speakers, sound card and keyboard/mouse.

Lol, on a budget of a grand, I don't think an extra £17 for a system that will probably be used for a year or two at least is going to break the bank.

But, considering its gonna be another £100-150 BEFORE the change of RAM, in the top spec.

The top spec doesnt have Sound Card, Speakers, Keyboard or Mouse.

With the other specs, its upto him whether he wants to go even further over.

Does everyone feel that within my budget the Sonata is NOT a good idea?

Well, i'd advise against if, especially with a Quad, and a GT OC. Depends how far you're going to Overclock.
