AFAIK P55 will run i5, which is a different socket

Damn, I would have preffered a cheaper alternative for i7 rather than have to go for an X58 hopefully they'll come down in price a bit more then.

Personally i am going to wait until the summer before an upgrade. I want to wait until i7 is more "mature".

Having said that, a teamspeak buddy has i7 and loves it. It eats 3dmark vantage for breakfast
