I have a 2k budget and this lot comes to Total : £1,992.22 with delivery

anything you would change or think is overkill or not quite right

all opinions welcome

Change out the 2700k for an i7 3770k ivybridge and also then change out the motherboard for a z77 at around the same price the i7 ivybridge is better than the sandybridge and with a 2k budget you can definately afford it that might also cause you to have to change your ram but it is worth it

EDIT ignore the z77 bit i didnt realise you already had a Z77 mobo on the list

i am trying to cut corners with some things and not sure i am going the right way

thanks for the input, i will look at the 3770k

thanks

no ignore that when i wrote the first comment i didnt read you had a z77 motherboard on the list if you didnt and had to switch i meant you'd need to check if the ram was compatible with the new motherboard you picked. Just ignore th change ram bit and the change motherboard bit

1) Go to 3770K

2) 8GB RAM

3) Upgrade SSD to at least 128GB

4) Why have you gone dual mointors? There is no point in a second 120hertz mointor.

why is there no point in dual monitors, if he is building a system like that another monitor would be worth it if he's gaming to have like HW monitor on the other screen to check how is computer is coping under load

i wanted 3 monitors but thought 2 wouldbe good as i can game on one while still use other
i have changed to the 3770k, what ram do you suggest?

I have added the OCZ Agility 3 120GB and changed to the 670 card

which card is best between the 670 and 7950 or 7970?

If you look at the same review I linked you to earlier, you can see the 670 is still a fair margin better than the 7970 in BF3 by about 10 fps.. When it comes to high res texture games like Crysis 2 then it is quite close but the 670 still pulls up at the top near enough.. Along with the 670 with being £30+ cheaper than the 7970!

Did i say there was no point in a second mointor?

I said there was no point in a 120hrz one.

As you won't see a benifit and they are quite abit more money.

I would go with a 60hrz one.
