I’m having my first attempt to upgrade my PC. The items I have identified are; would you change anything and why from the build I have in mind.

Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2p AM3 Motherboard;
AMD Quad Phenom 11X4 955 3.2Ghz (AM3);
Artic cooling freezer 7 Pro Rev CPU Cooler;
Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1333 (4GB) RAM

I’m only changing the above components as my budget is £200 - £230, use is for media editing and low end gaming.

Am I likely to have any problems configuring this set up.

Only thing I can see that is worth upgrading is the cooler.

I have one and it's a good little cooler, but with the 955BE that your buying you can overclock that CPU massive to around 4ghz given the correct board and the Arctic Freezer won't be able to handle it. I would recommend the Gelid Tranquillo. It is a much better cooler and will last into your next upgrade easily being a Bulldozer or sandy or ivy bridge! Plus it's only a tenner more :P
