What do you use to play music on Windows?

iTunes and Spotify. I only use the latter for as long as I can stand the awful and very repetitive adverts.

iTunes is dreadful on Windows. So much junk comes with it.

That would matter if we were still in 1999 where system resources were at a premium, as it stands it matters little.

Yeah!, but I don't want all that extra crap installed on my machine!! What the hell is 'Bonjour' anyway!?!?!?

Like I say, most of us have very powerful systems and any extra software installed isn't going to cause any slow downs or issues. I know many have had problems with iTunes but the latest release is very stable and easy to use.

As for Bonjour, its been around since 2002, personally I have no problem with it. Here is the wiki page if you want to learn about what it does: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonjour_(software)

I've used Winamp and the like in the past, most feel a bit dated these days. I guess the main reason for using iTunes is however the fact I have a few Apple devices and it just makes sense to keep it all in one place for convenience.

The problem is, if you look at it that way for all your software then your machine will slow down. I've known people that have 16GB RAM, SSD, quad core, etc. and because they don't keep on top of things the machine just gets slower and slower, Windows just can't handle it.

Use WinAmp as it works well and is simple. Easily handles any of the stuff I import from my iTunes too.
