what do you want to achieve?

Have a job I don't wake up in the morning dreeding to go to with plenty of friends and family along with a lovely other half :)

Same here.

Happy healthy family, decent job that doesn't interfere with my personal life, able to go on a holiday at least once a year. A couple of kids, a nice house and maybe a dog! :p

Like you say, a nice life is something I look forward too. A life without worry or concern would be ideal.

At present I've taken care of most things I've wanted to achieve. I realised my life long dream a few years ago when I got my pilots licence and I'm doing my dream job. I have no major worries about money and in general I'm happy. As a result of doing all this at a young age I've let my social life suffer slightly so I'd like to meet more friends and maybe even fall in love (in a few years after I've lived it up for a while!). Within the next few years my plan is to buy a silly car, something with 2 seats and a big engine :D and buy my first home instead of wasting money on rent.

I suppose my next aim will be to travel a lot and in general enjoy life to the full.

Contrary to what some people say, life its what you make it and if you want something bad enough you can achieve it no matter what your background. Live the dream

On another note, i know it's cheesy and all but iirc you are 20, i wouldn't mind being as successful and clever as you at 40. So who knows. People are too quick to judge other peoples lives on the net because theirs seems fine so compares theres and others, to what they think is/or should be yours.

Want to go to Cambridge as I love the city.

Aiming to be an engineer.. possibly mechanical or automotive.

Footballer ;) in the vein of Gerrard.

Nice family.

As long as I enjoy myself I'm fine :)

I'll ask my bro. Thanks

If your bro has an incurable disease, I'm sorry to hear about that :(

But you can't really play that card making me look like a heartless prat, as you didn't mention that at all in your first post - just that you wanted to die.
Which of course is a selfish thing to say when no other circumstance are provided with it.

Don't re-call saying 'i want to die'

Pretty much the same thing dude, as it means you couldn't care less if you were alive or dead.

So you think if i feel down and a little depressed sometimes and think id be better of dead that means i want to die?

Why would anyone want to die, theres always something behind it

Very true. What I was trying to say is if you really want to be happy, you can make it so, unless you have some sort of clinical depression. My upbringing had it highs and its lows and at once stage I used to feel like I was a worthless waste of space and I had the impression that others around me felt the same. If anything, I had to prove to myself that I wasn't and I did. If I can do it you can do it too. This is a poor anology but life is much like a computer, garbage in = garbage out. If you make the effort and make positive changes you are capable of almost anything. Sometimes we can't control what 'goes into' our lives but changes can be made for the better and all it takes is a positive attitude and some effort.

Regardless of what you may think or tell yourself, you are capable of realising your dreams and much more :)

My primary goal is to be happy and for my loved ones to be happy.
Otherwise I'm not sure.

I have a decent goal for the next year which should hopefully lead to a decent career but things can change so fast in a very short space of time that I've not really thought much further ahead.
Usually when I do, plans are forced to change anyway.

For the next year I'm going for one of my dreams so that's something :) After that.....who knows.

No, it means you wouldn't mind dying. You're making it seem as though when I replied to you, I placed "i want to die" in a quote or something, I just used the word in context as it has a very similar meaning.

Exactly, but when you don't explain, and just say "i think i would be better off dead", it kind of makes you seem like a selfish person who doesn't seem bothered about something as beautiful as life, thats all.

craig there is no point living if you don't enjoy it, and at the same time are a hinderance to others around you. People may say its a selfish thing to say, and "how can you say things like that, when people are so much more worse off than you?"... well its all relative, thats my 2 cents

(Simpsons fans will get the later part of that phrase, the former was my actual answer to the question).
