"What do you want Windows to do" window question

Hi there.

When i put in a cd that is full of pictures, how do I get it so that the window comes up and asks you what to do? You know, the menu that gives options like 'View a slideshow", "Open the folder for viewing" etc.

It doesnt happen on my new laptop and want it to.
