What does CODMW2 edition mean?

I bought a pair of the 5850 PCS+ cards that wer advertised as "CODMW2 edition inc DIRT2", for about 470 quid. I was expecting to be able to sell 2 copies of CODMW2 and 2 copies of DIRT 2 to get back a decent chunk of cash. I've sent a webnote and they are supposed to be getting me a code for CODWM2, hopefully 2 codes like I paid for. Sadly, these cards will have to go back if I haven't received a code by Monday when my 7 working days DSR time runs out.

Doesnt happen to have a CODMW2 picture on the cooler does it ? I thought they were "Dirt 2" Edition or "CODMW2" edition because they put a game related picture on the cooler ?

The cards were advertised as CODMW2 editions that also had DIRT 2. The box should have a CODMW2 sticker on it and it had a DIRT 2 sticker instead.:(

this is what i dont understand......

the card and box have no ref to what game its suppose to come with. the only way to tell is the sticker on the front which will either be MW2 or dirt 2.

on the powercolor website it shows the pcs+ dirt 2 edition and the mw2 editons. (both exactly the same product apart from the little sticker on the box)

no where on the website is there a mw2 and dirt 2 edition in one.

thats why im leaning toward it being ocuk's fault as there is no powercolor product on their website which comes with both games.

ive been in touch with powercolor by email 2 days ago but still no response.

oh and my so called mw2 edition, came with a dirt 2 sticker on the front as well.

Why are you contacting Power colour.

You have been sent an incorrect item, Power colour have the right to refuse to talk to you.

This is an OCUK problem, and if they recommended you contact power colour this is well out of order..

Is that a copy and paste reply from them... "mannufacturer"
or did you just type it in...

my email reply off ocuk was to contact powercolor. there is a response from an ocuk official in this post which says that i need to speak with powercolor to get the game code but if i have no joy i can get a replacement card.

dont really want the fuss of returning the card and waiting for a new one. seems silly really.

i dont even care about the mw2 code anyway. ive got it on x360 so would have sold it anyway. its just the fact that i feel like ive been miss sold.

Your contract is with OcUK. If the goods you have received are not what you have paid for it is up to OcUK to rectify the matter. If you believe they are being unhelpful, simply request a refund (as is your right) and purchase future goods elsewhere.

Most of my dealing with OcUK have been good, so perhaps you got someone on an off day.

My impression is that the CODMW:2 side of things is an OcUK promo that they've added on top of the Power Color DIRT2 voucher which is why there's no mention of it on the Power Color box.

I had a 5870 with this offer and it did come with mw2 voucher code, box was vacuum wrapped and box was sealed so its deffo from the manufacture as it says it on the box also, i had to return mine as the card was faulty.

We have received a batch of cards without the CODMW2 Codes in them. If you send a webnote with your order number I will enusre that one is posted to you.

Did anyone ever receive their CoDMW2 code?

No

The reply I got when I queried the missing games sounded so much like a fob off, I simply sent the cards back. My last card, a GTX285, was also missing the game so I thought enough was enough.

i got the powercolor 5850 mw2 edition and only got the dirt 2 code. when i sent a webnote they told me to send a webnote to pre sales as they didnt have any mw2 codes.

i then sent a webnote to pre sales who then told me to contact powercolor.

not impressed at all by that service. would have probably of got the asus if i would have know that was going to happen.

I did all that too and called them. Did eventually get a code sent to me.
