I was working with an old HP computer today, opened it up and the dust and all the random shizznits smelled of hot crossed buns.

I was a really sweet smelling glaze style smell. T'was nice.

When i got a 2nd hand benq monitor, the dust was really sweet smelling and i hated the smell, made me feel a bit sick.

If anyone is informed in the science of dust your opinion would be greatly accepted.

Does anyone else's computers smell of strange things?

Dust is made of human skin particles (mostly).

The inside of PCs and monitors are hot.

Therefore, you are smelling cooked human  And you like the smell!

Well, i only liked one of the smells, depends on the human i suppose. But i think i've got a new hobby of going around sniffing computers.

Cat pee once upon a time....not funny.

Dust now so human smell?

Contrary to popular belief, household dust isn't flakes of dead skin! It's a mixture of everything that floats around the house! Skin sheds most commonly when washing :p
