What does the pinnacle of android gaming look like?

Actually just noticed that :p

Pass!

Will await more free giveaways on Tegrazone! Can't wait for the ball demo to be released.

** Khaaan, you might have to get different shaders for a couple of the games if they don't work straight away - with C3D and Nvidia that is (saves you Googling later if you have problems :p ).

Also, Fruit Ninja THD has multiplayer, which is quite fun against a friend surprisingly enough! for a 4.3" screen.

Galaxy on Fire needs you to drop the texture quality to work properly.

Works fine on default settings for me.

Oh, and TegraZone looks so sexy on AMOLED  -

Seemed to work fine for me too! Just the menu had missing text randomly, came back randomly too!

I read that the chainfire driver reduces texture quality on games to make them run?

When playing a non tegra game, would you be using the chainfire driver, or the standard one? Are you able to switch between the 2?

It can reduce texture quality if you set it to (for older phones), with the SGS2 you don't need to though.

With the paid version you can set it to use different drivers for different apps. For example, it uses the standard driver unless you run a Tegra game, then it switches to the Nvidia driver.

Thats all I wanted to make sure it could do, switch to the standard driver when playing non tegra games. Does it do that automatically then? Is there any way to confirm that im using the standard driver on non tegra games?

I'd get the paid version anyway as I'd want the tegra games to show up within the marketplace.

Aye, it really isn't worth getting the free version at all.

It uses the standard driver except when a Tegra app is running (that you set within the CF3D app). All automatic.

£3.13 for a driver... It better be good :D

In the pro version, I strongly advise disabling ALL the options under "default" settings, and ONLY use "per-app" configuration. This will greatly reduce the chance of conflicting settings between different apps, which does actually happen a lot ! It is also the best possible configuration you can have performance-wise.

How do I know the "per-app" settings? :/

There are currently no plugins available from my hand, but it appears somebody has compiled and released libGLEMU_NVIDIA, libGLEMU_QUALCOMM, and libGLEMU_POWERVR plugins. You may find them if you search for them

How do I know what plugins I need? Are you just googling the name of each tegra app to find S2 settings/plugins or am I missing something?

Pro version of Chainfire installed along with plugins but the market fix doesnt seem to work for me, so i cant search for games.

Ah well!

As I had originally wondered...

The guy in the video says that when you load any game that uses OpenGL it will use the default Nvidia driver? He then says if you go back into plugins and choose "no plugin" it will use Samsungs driver instead. So there is no automated way of doing this? Im not that fussed as long as you can change it mind.

Though what are the other 2 drivers for? The non nvidia ones?

Odd. Did you do the fix AFTER you installed the Plugins? Try restarting the phone, etc.

As far as I know it will only use an Nvidia driver when you are running a game that requires it (like the THD ones do), or you set it to use the Nvidia driver for everything. Otherwise it will use the default drivers.

The other drivers are for other chipset specific apps I believe, if there are any.
