What does it mean if somebody says to you:

"Im just off out til later this afternoon but might have a little venture for you on ebay. Email you in a bit"

This guy has a big "successful" business and i know him on a personal level (not very close though, just first name basis).

Wondering what he means.... does he mean he has a proposition for me in business terms?

probably wants you to sell his junk on ebay and you can have % of the profits

dont make a lame "how do i post a box" thread though.

Probably wants you to deliver a parcel

I dont think so, i emailed him asking which host he uses for his website/shopping cart and because he ships next day but has loads of stock and a few shops and websites that are all different i wondered if he dropships with some shops or buys the stock on the basis "they could sell"....

Because its a pretty specific market he deals in that is flooded but he has a good share of the market.

And he came back with that.... so im just thinking what it could be...

I hope he doesnt ask me to do something i cant... lol

send him my way, im a powerseller on ebay i know the system outside n in.

actually do it really. i live in preston which is near blackpool.

whats this guys name i might know him.

It conflicts with ocuk so i cant really say. But we've sold everything from porsches to buckets of lego to thongs.

What do you think of eBay now? its very difficult for sellers i feel as the customers have unrealistic expectations.

I dispatch same day if paid before 3pm using Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded, and i state that. Yet they seem to think it means next day and i get a lot of neutral feedback or aggro from buyers about this until i point it out to them, but by that time feedback has been left and cant be removed.

I sort of remember a thread about levi jeans.

They were all counterfeit or something? was it you? Were you the buyer or seller?

The buyer, they werent as the listing stated and i sent them back and he kept my money and the jeans after a refund was agreed.

Saw a solicitor and have recently involved Her Majesties Court System and paid the fees.

Im looking at get more back + interest.

I think they should revert the feedback system, drop the fees and change the search back to how it was. Its hard to make a living on there thats for sure. I'm getting £300-700in final listing fees a month. Its ridiculous. But its the price you pay for the "world as your market place" rofl

What do you use to list? turbolister, blackthorne auctiva etc

Also what school did you got to? I've got various nieces/cousins/brothers/sisters about your age in the northwest area.

I went to Millfield??? and then college at Bispham Tech?

I know a few people from Preston.

I list through eBay itself as i have 5 templates and just fire loads in, but i know what you mean about fees. £1000 alone last month. Its getting difficult to make profit.

I also use Auctiva aswell, but im going to buy my domains from them and set up a real website so i can get advertisements with magazines, forums etc.

I agree the new search is terrible, its difficult to find, works bad with IE & FireFox and the feedback system is disgusting.

any way, back to my original post. do you think he has a business proposition for me?

Maybe joining forces or investing? Or working for him on a %?
