What downloading software to use with firefox ?

I am using a script with firefox called Flashgot.

It recommended flashget as a downloader, but works with everything else.

However NOD reports:

Event occurred on a new file created by the application: C:\Program Files\FlashGet\FlashGet.exe. The file was moved to quarantine. You may close this window.

so i uninstalled it.

Shall i pay for getright, or is there a better application for the same thing ? I want pausable downloads, and multiple threads.....

I find flashget really good, and it's free too.

My NOD doesn't pick it up as a Virus, perhaps it's been infected by another on your system? Or a corrupt download?

Nothing here from NOD32 either, and with the latest definitions.

You sure it's not something you've asked Flashgot to download? NOD32 usually reports the program the virus was active from too. You've said yourself it was a file created by Flashget (ie the file you asked it to download), not Flashget itself.

Any program downloading the exact same file will get the same treatment from NOD32 - Firefox itself included.
