What DPI do you game at

Got my G5 set to 1100dpi for my gaming as mid level, 800 then 2000 for the other 2 settings

I think the dpi on my mx600 is like 800. Ive no idea what 2000dpi could be usefull for, especially if you dont have a tennis court for a mouse mat

Thats amusing, u got it back to front. High DPI whilst using the same sensitivity in the setup software will enable you to twitch and go from one side of the screen to the other.

In games I tend to err on the side of low sensitivity (not touching the DPI @ 800).

Oh and I went from a M$ optimouse to an MX510 to a logitech G5 and they all improved my aim.

As someone else has already said, higher the sensitivity/dpi, the less you have to move the mouse.

I keep mine on 2600dpi and I barely even have to move the mouse at all.
Less than 1/2 an inch to move it from one end to the other of a 20" screen. Once you get used to it, it's great.

Ok I guess then the requirement then would be for a very high quality mousemat, you wouldnt want any false moves.
I use the mouse for heli control, Im not sure high dpi would be suited but my mousemat is trash. I have to roughen it up because its texture has worn smooth which sends the mouse screwy for some reason, its a ratpadz bought from here.

Very occasionally I have to track the mouse, pick it up, drop etc High dpi would obviously help then but its not a requirement except for a second at short notice

I have my Razer Lachesis set at 4000 dpi, reduce in game sensitivity to suit each game.

Felt way too fast at first, hated it even, but wouldn't go back now. Even my old DiamondBack feels sluggish now!

800dpi is perfect. Couldn't use anything higher and then go to work and use the Dell standard mice they have!!

There's a switch on my habu for changing the dpi, I use it in games sometimes for sniping.

i got the logitech G9 which has the on the fly dpi changer i think i usually game around 1200 dpi or it might be 900, but i do change quite often, usualy if im playing a sniper ;)
