What electronic Toothbrush?

I don't want to spend a fortune, but want something thats good, and that i can easily get replacement heads for.

Ideally wouldn't want to spend more than £30. Any specific models? or is that too low a budget?

In my experience a manual toothbrush is always better. Most dentists would agree.

I used to have an Oral-B and it was pretty good. It was about £40. Soon switched back to a manual one though. More accurate, cheaper and generally easier.

Its proven that the only electric toothbrush that will be more effective than manually brushing, is a toothbrush with a head that oscillates. Any other vibrating types will be a waste of money.

I have an electric Braun toothbrush and my wife has a Philips Sonicare. She has the Sonicare due to her having veneers and she feels it's much gentler on her teeth. The Braun however is much cheaper to own as the heads are cheaper and the battery seems to last longer.

Boots have some great half price offers on Braun toothbrushes here :cool:

Absolutely - both my dentist and hygienist recommended that I use an electric toothbrush.

The difference in the appearance of my teeth is quite marked since I started using one - they are considerably whiter, and even I can tell my gums look healthier.

No comparison IMO - a manual toothbrush causes abrasion.

I was also recommended either Braun or Philips - went for the Braun as the heads are much more reasonable.
