What engine is this?

I know it's not the same engine, but it's a green evo engine.
Are we way past the possibility of it being sprayed?

Either way I wonder what brakes he has for stopping the thing, I bet that little pug wouldn't be a nice place to be with all that power.

Front calipers and disks from a 306 gti6 are a nice upgrade for any 205, I guess you could get some track pads also if you were tracking it but on the road I'm sure normal pads and gti6 calipers would be fine...

The 306 gti6 is what? a 170bhp,1200kg 135mph car? An evo engine is anything from 250bhp+, in a car the size of a matchbox which is probably capable of a fair bit more than 135mph I would want something more substantial than gti6 breaks stopping me. Mind you ive seen novas running 2ltr red top engines on standard brakes so anything is possible I guess.

The brakes only have to stop the weighted momentum of the car at speed. Given this 205 (if it is) will likely weigh in quite light, I don't see it being a massive issue. Tyres will be more important

To be honest mate Its not the brakes or the engine I think its the fact its a 205 with that engine in it that I wouldn't trust it, it could have the anchors of the titanic and it wouldn't stop me :D. I would probably end up jumping in and writing thing off in the first 10 mins :D

Talking about 205's Discovery turbo has wheeler dealers on now doing guess what?.... No other than a pug 205 1.9gti.

Yep, exactly. 205's don't weigh that much.

Standard 205gti's have 243mm disks, I know someone who is running 264mm disks and calipers from a 306 16v along with a 180hp engine and does not issues with brake fade... 306 gti6 brakes are even bigger at 282mm so I think that these would be up to the job.

That said, 200hp+ in a 205 would be a little crazy, they can be pretty snappy on the limit :eel:

we've just established those are red though and this is one is green so it must be something else

It is 100% an evo engine and has been powdercoated.

The dark green painted engines were specialised HKS, this is not one of those for sure.

That Evo engine should push out well into the 300bhp ATW mark.
