Last night i made Tuna + onion + mayo + french mustard In a sandwich with sliced gherkins.

Cooked or out of the tin though? My mum used to dice corned beef and onions and put it on toast, with mustard, and put back under the grill. Heaven.

Chicken nuggets with a Pot Noodle emptied on top of them.
Sausages and rice.
Not a million miles away but I'll sometimes have instant noodles (usually the KOKA brand or similar) with some southern fried or spicy chicken fillets.

Super noodles on toast is pretty great.
As an alternative, a Tuna Cocktail Sandwich is one of my favourites.
Tomato ketchup, salad cream (or mayonnaise) mixed up with the Tuna, black pepper, Tabasco and lettuce, tomato, cucumber topping.
Tuna and lime pickle. Try it. Onions optional.

Using star anise with beef is a legit cheffy technique! It doesn't even have to leave a detectable "star anise" flavour if you go gently with it, but it just lifts the whole dish.

crisp sandwich (white bread, plain walkers, cut into 4 squares) dunked into tomato soup (whatever kind you like)

I've been doing this for years, not unknown for me to go through an entire 6 pack in one go. Though I usually stick to Heinz chicken soup nowadays cos Heinz tomato has gone seriously down hill.
