What extra information would you like to see on your dash?

As per the title really.

The only caveat is that you are limited to two lines of 16 characters, but you can for example have a button to scroll through features.

I am working on a data logger for the car, and it gave me the idea of actually displaying some of this information on the center console LCD, so accelerometer readings etc.

My other ideas were things like fault codes and sensor readings - nothing particularly special there, but I'm sure there are so many cool things that could be displayed.

Thoughts?

Get it to tell you what the weather is like!

So many devices now do this (mobile phones, tablets etc) that SURELY it must be easier than just looking out the window?

On a serious note, I think you've got the best ones, what about temperatures of oil/water etc as well?

Nothing, the basic dials are fine, anything else is superfluous.
I do plan to do a couple of track/drift days though, in which case it would be nice to see oil temp.

Real coolant temp, not just a needle which stays in the same place over a big range.
Oil temp, oil pressure (oil lights are pants), boost pressure and that's about it really.

The name and address of the person in front of me.

Would be handy to get in touch with those who don't believe in indicators/leave fog lights on constantly/drive like ****s.

Open SID on the Saab 9-5 gives shows the main ECU parameters (including things like demanded and actual boost), plus fault codes on the radio display panel.

On my Honda insight, I'd like battery state of charge, instantaneous mpg and lifetime mpg all at once.
