As the odd one of you may have read elsewhere, I'm planning to buy an E6850, P5K Deluxe, 4GB Crucial PC6400, Akasa Eclipse 62 (with side panel) and Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme. I plan to overclock the processor to around 3.6Ghz if not a little bit more.
I currently use Akasa Amber (1400rpm) fans which I'm unlikely to continue using as most of my system is going to someone else. I'm happy with the noise they make and am looking for four fans (front, back, side and on the HSF) to buy. My plan was 3xS-Flex 1600rpm and one of the 800rpm version (for the side). However after much browsing and thought yesterday I switched to 3xS-Flex 1200rpm fans and one Xilence Redwing (to see if they're as good and quiet as claimed).
My question is: Am I worrying too much about the sound from the 1600rpm S-Flex's? I've had a look at the Noctua and Sharkoon but after thinking it over lots gave up and decided to at least go with the type of fan I'd picked originally. I want a sound not much louder than the Akasa Amber's but with as much airflow as possible.
