What film scared you the most as a kid?

Who Framed Roger Rabbit scared the hell out of me in some parts. Especially near the end when the guy had a circular saw for a hand. Had to leave the room each time that came on :(

The Burning. First movie we watched on a friends video recorder (we were too poor to own one) My intro to the slasher movies - terrified me back then obviously. Added bonus of sex scene, boobs etc.. :)

Went to see Ghostbuster with my Dad and my bro in the cinema I was 7 and my brother was 5 it scared the **** out of us I had nightmares for weeks that the terror dogs were sat on the end of my bed, cold sweats, screaming, sleepless nights - thanks dad

but the upside of it was that from about age 10 I saw most 18+ films and they didn't keep me up or give me nightmares. watched Aliens, Predator etc when it came out and loved every minute of it I loved sci-fi and couldn't get enough of it

I remember after watching Aliens for the first time going to sleep that night and wanting to be a marine to kick some alien hide!! - guess Ghostbuster had scarred me for life lol

roll on Predators next summer!!

I had nightmares about Ghostbusters 2, the painting guy and the guy with the pram floating outside the window - trully horrific stuff.

For me, and it's a popular one, it's Salem's Lot.

It was originally shown over a couple of nights. First part ended with the opening of the coffin.

But the floaty boy at the window scene was the one that chilled a younger me!

This. Still don't like un-curtained windows at night and I'm 36!

Critters always terrified me. I used to have recurring nightmares of being in an abandoned house while the critters surrounded it, trying to get in to eat me.

'It', remember watching that at a friends halloween party when I was young and it scared the poop out of us.
