What Final Fantasy game for the DS??

Well the only 'proper' FF game on the DS is FFIII, although I hear it's actually quite hard (I say I hear it's hard, I have played it but I'm so used to the games I can't really judge how hard it would be to a beginner). Other than that there is FFXII: Revenant Wings which is a sort of RTS-RPG, FF Tactics A2 which is a turn based strategy RPG and FF Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates which is an action RPG.
 
Final Fantasy IV is out on Monday :) Yes its the American release, but there is nothing to stop you from importing it.

Edit: Or you can try the SNES ports on the GBA of 4, 5 and 6 since GBA games also work on the DS.

I got FF3 a long time ago, it was a great game, wasn't too difficult except for the very final dungeon which made me end up scratching my head on how you was supposed to do it and the lack of saving throughout that entire dungeon meant losing a good chunk of time from dying at the end, quite frustrating, but then i think thats a good thing!
 
FFIII Is good fun and i didn't find it amazingly hard (it was my first FF game), all except for the last dungeon which is a right *******, i gave up on it in the end.
