I'm always interested in what people have built or borged and got folding for them and I've not seen a thread like this since I've been around...

At the moment folding for me is the Celeron Army  ...

Borged:
6 x Celeron D's @ 2660mhz
1 x Celeron D @ 3000mhz
1 x Celeron @ 2400mhz

and my home machine...
Built:
Athlon64 @ 2200mhz

So! .. What Ya Got!?

Most of mine are slackers...

-Opteron 175 (2 cores @ 2.5) doing about 12 hours/day.
-A64 3200+ 12 hours/day.
-Celeron 800 12 hours/day.
-P3 733 6 hours/day.
-Sempron 3300+ unknown on time

In future, the opteron is about to be rma'd and either replaced or returned and overclocked more, or refunded and replaced with a conroe. Whatever happens, i'll have another crack at runniing 24/7 with it which would be a massive production improvement.
I might be building a media centre pc, probably sempron based which will fold. And i might get a better fileserver to replace the celeron.

I'm aiming to maintain 400+ ppd and go green.

AMD X2 4400+ @ 2600MHz

Runs pretty much 24/7 on both cores. Although it has been switched off some nights because of the heat.

Brother wants a new PC built for him soon so I may end up borging that. Depends how much he plans to run it.

Opty 170 @ 2.6
X2 4400+ @ 2.65
X2 3800+ @ 2.8
X2 3800+ @ 2.5
Pentium D 805 @ (can't remember :o )
A64 4000+ @ 2.65
Centrino laptop @ 1.6 (soon to be changed for a Dell Inspiron XPS M1710 @ 2.16 core duo - oh yeah baby  )

All running 24/7 for the cause normally although I work away, 4 weeks on 4 weeks off and everything always works perfectly when I'm home without any intervention but within days of going away, something always goes horribly wrong. My Stanford stats currently say 9 active processors (should be 12). I know the 4400 is down as that is the rig I can access remotely but can't now which means I don't know what's happening with the others. That leaves me one core missing so I'm assuming it's the 4000+ (although 1 of the 9 cores could be big bro's laptop which has been borged but rarely submits anything - which would mean another dual core is down - who knows  ).

That "lame" 4400+ is my main gaming rig :( - it better not be borked as I'm spending the money I was going to use to build my Conroe system to buy the new lappy (old one struggles like hell playing games and won't play some at all :( I need a laptop which can play all my games for when I'm on the rig. I should have no such problems with the M1710 :D -buying it off a guy in the MM for £1300 - nearly £500 less than OcUK price and only 6 weeks old and he's throwing in some games and a G5 gaming mouse).

So, the short answer is: No, you can't have it :p

shadowscotland, those are all yours?

Rigs:

X2 4400 @ 2.7
P-D 930 @ 4.2
A64 clawhammer 1.8 @ 2.6 (at stock till i source a new psu)
P4c 3.2 @ 3.4
pentium m 1.7
celeron 900

i renamed my 930 'the warehouse heater' due to the fact it can seriously heat any room in half an hour (5c+).

lay-z-boy-
only the two OC'ed rigs are mine - the rest are work's (but I've a nice boss)
and looks like your a bit of a demon OC'er - water?
edit: Know what you mean about the 930 - my OC'ed 805 easily added 5 degrees also (CPU 60c @ max load)

How did you get that X2 4400+ to 2700Mhz!?

SiriusB

Seems most of the X2's are serious easy overclockers.

I got an X2 3800+, a DFI NF4 SLI-DR Expert and some OCZ DDR500 RAM and just upped it straight up to 250 fsb. 2.5Ghz and 500Mhz memory.

Works beautifully I reckon it could go a lot higher ;) (But it's not mine :()

X2 4400 starts at 2.2Ghz so it's a 500mhz increase same as the 3800 I did starting at 2Ghz. 4400 has twice the L2 cache which makes it much nicer with F@H.

Pretty sure my 4400+ can't do higher than 2640MHz :(

Although my PC has been on pretty much 24/7 since I overclocked it so it may have burned in quite nicely... hmm may give 2700 a shot later this week when I have time :D

That's assuming this heatwave doesn't send my temps much higher.

SiriusB

Some CPU's are simply easier than others, it may me that yours just doesn't want to go any further. Unfortunatly thats just the way it goes sometimes :(

I found temps we're the only issue when I did the 3800, I was just using an Artic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro.

lay-z-boy maybe watercooled I think which makes 2.7 a little easier obviously :)
