What font do you use in your CV?

I want to kill every person that uses comic sans, someone in my office uses it for work purposes regardless of how many times I tell them it's a kiddy font that primary school teachers would use

I always thought that serif fonts were easier to read in print, whereas sans-serif such as Verdana should only really be used on-screen (hence why it's popular in web design).

It's slightly more complicated than that. Prose is easier to read in serif fonts, but individual words, or an isolated phrase, is easier to read in sans-serif. Which is why you normally see sans-serif used for headings.

Also, the difference is relatively minor, especially for things like CVs - where you typically have isolated paragraphs of text at most - and sans-serif fonts do give a cleaner look.

But, really, I don't think font choice is going to be a major factor. General layout issues probably have a bigger effect on the initial impression a CV makes.

Tahoma - as I found it slightly easier to read than Ariel.

If I received a cv written in Comic Sans I wouldn't even read it. If you think that is appropriate business presentation then I don't want to work with you!

Comic Sans!

I use Arial. Times New Roman shows you dont have the leet computer skills to change from the default font, gives myself an edge before they even read it.
