What free or cheap video editors are people using?

I need to make a simple video for a blog post. I'll probably only do a couple of them so I don't want to shell out for FCP so I was wondering what people here used for video editing?

iMovie is really good, you'd be surprised at how well it works and how intuitive it is.

Considering it's a free bundled app, it's surprising how good it is. I don't really do anything fancy but I create videos with multiple video clips, transitions, captions etc and the output is absolutely perfect. I grabbed the trial version of FCP a while ago with a view to moving over to it but I soon discovered that I could everything I wanted in iMovie.
