what freebies do you get from work????

Old job was a bit rubbish... 10% discount from a superstore electrical retailer. New job (only temporary, mind) is much better - free accommodation including music house, high speed internet and a gym, cleaners who look after your room, free food, and subsidised bar (virtually at cost).

The job that I'm about to start in September will have no benefits whatsoever... was speaking to current staff at the moment, who suggest that 12 hour days will be 'a good week'. Woo :p

Used to get half price contracts on mobile phones (The Link).

Now I get free food while working (fish 'n chips etc.) and free drinks while working (water, coke, beer etc.).

I get:

Health and dental cover
Free eye tests and glasses (1 pair/yr)
Student loan repayments paid for me
Free shirt washing/ironing service!!
Company laptop/mobile phone bill paid
Travel expenses and customer lunches, etc
Tea/coffee/breakfast
Buy anything PC/electrical at trade cost
Various promotional stuff (got £250 of HMV vouchers today but my housemate got tickets to the world cup final the jammy git!)
About £50/each every 3 months for team nights out and various work parties/lunches every few months (Le Manoir most recently).
We also get incentive trips (Japan, Galapogas, St Petersberg the most recent ones and Rio in January!) as well as subsidised ski trips, race days, etc.

I get :

Free Alcohol usually lager, but I did have a bottle of red wine once.
Food when we have buffets and last year we had a barbecue.
Takeaway if working really late.
Dinner from Fish and Chip shop every Saturday.

I have also recently had a full size packet of chocolate digestives, some pringles style crisps, a croissant and a chocolate bar.

You don't work for a rather large bank by any chance as that sounds very similar to the package I’ve got?
No, consulting for a mobile solutions company :)

mmm, let me think

Laptop (that I'm using now)
Mobile phone - getting a crackberry soon
American Express card with no limit  (alas it's personal liability so if I take the mick I pay the bill)
Bupa
Pension contribution
Share options (now worthless)
and best of all
All the tea I can drink :D

Yeah I have the same.... Got informed of the personal liability about a week after it arrived when I was wandering round Johannesburg with it in my pocket

I'd reccommend taking out a policy with someone like Card Guard just in case.... They also cover things like all your keys, passport, driving license, etc etc for a few quid a year.

And Ricky, who do you work for? Very nice incentives there :)

In terms of little things, we get coffee, drinks etc depending if we are on a project with a generous client. Apart from that its bugger all :(
As our company is one of the major companies in Reading (in terms of contribution to the community) I get a discount in most Reading shops and services, like garages, hairdressers, cheap cinema tickets.
Plus, we let the Madjeski Stadium use our car park and in turn they give us about 30 free passes for each big event they hold there :D including concerts (RHCP last night) and all football matches. Got the listing for all the premiership games to be played there next season, and I am seriously looking forward to it.

Also other stuff like (probably the best one I have seen) pension scheme, shares, private health, etc. Plus they will eventually pay for my MBA if I stay long enough.

Blocks. All the hardwood or softwood blocks I can burn. Handy in winter as it fuels an open fire & keeps heating costs down which considering the price of oil isn't a bad thing. Also fuels a patio heater/bbq for those lazy summer evenings.

free coffee etc.
stationary, blank cd's/dvd's.
any cableing that i need.
any software we have i can have.
cost + 5% on all hardware and software we can get.
company meals 3-4 times a year paid for.
christmas party paid ford ( drinks, food, accomidation.)

thats it i think.

absolutly sod all :(

manage a bookies so about the only thing i get are good tops on horses, but they are form customers  lol

I have a free RBS Royalties Gold account (could get a Premier one if I wanted), and discounts on anything financial - insurance, lower credit card limit, mortgage etc.
As far as physical goods go, we get pens and keyrings from time to time, and for any occasion there will be food on the go. Someone must have bought about 50 punnets of strawberries in Tesco on Friday because at 2 were given out to every bank of 6 desks :D. For easter it was mini-eggs and bags of mini creme eggs, and for christmas a big buffet table and boxes of mince pies.

If we agree to come in early or stay late on the day, then there's a stash of wine bottles that can be handed out. They also have quite a good employee recognition program which means if your manager thinks you've done really well they can get vouchers or items up to several hundred pounds (although our department only ever hands out £20 vouchers!).

"Anything i can fit in my pockets without being seen" like it!

I get mid to old spec pc's and components!!

And all sorts of software if needed..!!
