I have proper, manly hands and notebook mice are to small, resulting in my hand cramping up.

I use a Logitech G5 for Windows as it is chunky and fits my hand perfectly. Unfortunatley it isn' supported in OSX and jitters across the screen.

So what fully OSX compatble LARGE mouse do people suggest?

PS the Apple mouse looks small from the pics I have seen. So this probably rules out an official mouse.

I need a mouse that is almost as big as my entire hand like my trusty G5 :p

I fear disaster, but I'm totally bias against the poor stuck-on-their-backs beasties.

If you don't have any luck with the trackball, try the MX Revolution (which I believe is now the MX Performance, but you might want to check that).

My G5 works perfectly with my MacBook on a daily basis, including all the function buttons. What have you done to yours?

works perfectly in windows and linux, yet is vert stuttery in OSX. Reports from other people on other forums I found suggest the same thing.

If the trackpad is a bad move i'll have to look at this MX mouse.

Should be ok with the trackpad as it's almost all i use on my macbook anyway.

After suffering OS X's whack mouse cursor acceleration behaviour, I bought a utility to combat it and then stopping mousing entirely.

The new style multitouch trackpads are brilliant once you get used to them. I doubt I'll use a mouse with my Mac again unless I start gaming or drawing in photoshop on it.
