what gains?

Its not a 700w psu mate, likely a rebranded something or the other that might give 400w on a good day. You've got some good hardware in there, why risk it going up in smoke? 80+ Certification is not exactly saying anything and unless you check it could be faked. Trust me on this.

yeh it will be updated at some point, but its served me well and have never had any issues with them, and we sell a lot at work. never had a return or complaint.

just under 3hours prime tested

will do some benchmarks to see how they go and then prime for longer another day.

ye didnt know about 2 graphics cards guess that creates lot of extra heat into your pc,

on a positive, once ya get new cooler, i bet if you upped vcore to 1.3v you'd get 4.6/4.7 on the i5.

could the top 200mm be sucking out a lot of air before any air can get into cpu cooler fan? Positive/negative airflow etc.

do your gfx cards dump heat into case or out of it?

have you tried looking at temps with the cooler mounted the other way with the fan over the ram slots (basically turned 90 degrees).

your cables are actually tidier than mine :)

anyways once ye get silver arrow everything will be great imo best cooler out there.

it will run @ 4.6GHz @ under 1.35v just the temps go into the high 80s when priming so i wont risk it, so i know its good for atleast that.
there is a possability, but i have turned the fan right down and temps went up 1-2c, but then that could just be the fact its warmer in the room with the tumbledryr pumping heat out from the next room.
gfx cards exhaust heat out the rear of the case.
wont spin around the ram and motherboard heatsink get in the way.
normally cables are better than that, but its been taken apart a bit over the last 2 days so havent tied them all back in place yet.
yeh im hoping my C2D will sell quickly so i can order the new cooler and aim for higher. think 4.6/4.7GHz will be the limit, like i said, it wont post @ 4.8GHz with 1.35v.
