What Game Glitch Miffed You Off??

Wing Commander 3, it could never read from the 4th CD (just after the Behemoth is destroyed and you have to get some kind of mavity bomb to destroy Kilrah). I never got round to finishing that game... :(

My bug was worse. On the last level you had to fly to the surface of Kilrah and drop that bomb (the Temblar bomb IIRC), the bug I had was that the surface of the planet looped and I could never arrive at the bomb target site :(

I used to get the Mass Effect floating character glitch too.

CivV is the one thats annoying me most, their is a bug which crashes the game if you take over too many cities, which means a domination win on a huge map is impossible, also i'm sure it has a memiory leak gets shockingly slow later on between turns. This game is on the shelf for me until they patch.

I am just preloading Fallout NV right now, i will probabbly have more glitch woes over the next fortnight!

I remember borrowing my mates dreamcast and playing resident evil code veronica x.

Your experience of this game is spookily close to mine. Same borrowed Dreamcast, same love of the game and the same inability to get past the start of the second CD. Bah, I never did finish it and the first CD was cracking.

^^ LOL!!!

Wow!!! Thats so cool to actually have all of the above same as mine LOL how cool are we????

I never finished the game either :-( it totally took the joy out of my life and my gaming for a while thats how much it affected me lol!

Anyone remember a game based on the Quake 2 engine called SiN? :D

I remember it being about 5 quid in every bargain bin 2 weeks after release.:)

Have to say though, just about the only bug thats ever got me beat with fury.

Frontier: elite 2.

Takes weeks/months of play to reach the rank where you get the 'photo the imperial base' on the planet surface.

You're military stint ends right there, no matter what you do, as soon as you get close to entering the atmosphere on whatever planet you're sent to, the ship decides to head full impluse ramming in to the surface.

This happend on the amiga, i played through the pc version a couple of years later, same result.

Far Cry 2 88% bug.
Only way I was able to proceed was the following (after searching forums for a couple of months):

-Uninstall the patched version of the game
-Install again
-Deliberately NOT patch the game
-Go to the store and buy a mortar
-Use the 180 degree pivot mortar trick to clip through the door
-Proceed as normal.

Sadly I'd already spent AGES trying to get into the bloody building, reloaded old saves, you name it.

Not really a glitch but it was patched in later:

Ultima 8, (woohoo, on 8 floppy discs!) after completing the necromancer quests, the necromancer sends you off on a pilgrimage to find the birthplace of Moriens.

I spent a week looking for it....... before finally moving on to some more quests.

Another console one but something that killed me with laughter:

God of War 2, Final Boss fight.

Fighting on a high up mountain top dodging attacks. Once sufficient damage was done a short QTE would enable you to gain control of the Blade of Olympus and throw the boss across the arena and into a pillar rendering him vulnerable to attack.

Worked like that ok the first time. Second time I did the QTE, threw the boss and he simply missed the pillar and flew off the side of the mountain. EPIC FAIL! :(

I remember me and my brother rented out Shadow Man on the n64, its a pretty huge adventure game similar to zelda in structure, but didn't have a memory card. We ended up just leaving the n64 on for 6 days straight until it crashed on the final boss fight!!!

This ****ed me of no end, tho i suspect is was more to do with being on for 6 days than a bug lol.

ohhhh the save files LOL get soo carried away with levelling up we forget to save lol!!

remember DOOM on the snes???
this game had no save points lolllll

i remember playing this game and looking for all the secrets and enemies so i can get 100% on each level im weird like that sometimes i have to do this lolll

i played entire resident evil 4 on the gamecube without dying once and if i died ill go all the way back to my save point lol

the worst thing was i shot the shop keeper LOL once he dead you cant bring him back!! the geezer!

OCD anyone.

Many years ago playing the original Dungeon Keeper. The final game would overload my cheapo computer of the time and crash just as the final hero invasion started. Every time, with every try at that game. By the time I got a machine which could handle it I had got bored, so it was another few years before I completed DK (and that last game is still a pig).

CoD:4 on Xbox. Was playing through on Veteran - reached the level where you have to search a small town for some dude - got to the final building we needed to search, but when my team mates all ran to the building, one of them (Soap McTavish I think) just ran into a fence and stood there. Because of that, the game wouldn't progress any further.

It took me ages to realise wtf was going on, i spent ages trying all the windows and doors, trying to get on the roof etc.

Luckily, i managed to 'fix' the problem by strategically using grenades to 'push' him through the fence (while trying not to kill him).

Huzzah!
