What game has consumed most of your time in the last 10 years?

World of Warcraft by a mile.

Far far behind that but coming in second would be Left 4 Dead.

For me it would have to be World of Warcraft which I played right up until the first expansion.
I stopped for 2 reasons
1. I was burning out and I was always more interested in the 5 man instances than the 40 man.
2. I was about to join the Navy and if I couldn't play it every day (8 hours a day on average) I decided it was best I didn't bother at all.

I was in one of the top end game guilds on the server and I did participate in end game raid content frequently but I never really saw the appeal of just doing one thing, you were either damage dealers, healers or tanking and that was it. I had a rogue(first character), warrior(favourite) and shaman to lv60(this was before it took 5 seconds to level up :p). I also had a hunter in the early 40s and a warlock in the late 40s(who became my teleporter for raid bosses, I used to leave her at the kazaak or dragon spawns) and a mage around level 30. I used to enjoy levelling and playing different classes but you can only do it so many times before it becomes tedious.

I think Dawn of War might occupy the number 2 slot, I used to be quite into playing that online until I started playing WoW.

CoD 4

had about 5 weeks total game time

then my ps3 broke :/

(this was before i got into gaming computers)

Counterstrike source took 8 of my last 10 years. Glad to finally be rid of it, it was like an addiction that wouldn't go away, every time i tried to quit i'd get sucked back in. Every time i thought to myself "Right, this time im limiting myself to how much i play" I'd end up 2 weeks down the line playing it every single night and taking it more and more seriously.

So glad it's died and been replaced by a game i hate. It's like i'm finally free.

Last ten years? Well, around 10 years ago I was sinking a LOT of time into Runescape, majorly hammering it in high school. Then came college and with it, WoW. Those two, and CoD4 on the 360 (which came out just as I started uni ...was it really 5 years ago?? :o), must have taken up most of my 'gaming' time in the past ten years, easily. Runners up possibly Oblivion and/or Morrowind.

In fact, CoD4 may be the biggest one, as all we ever had was inter-house tournaments in the student house :D Must have been at least 6 or 7 of us all playing.

Past 10 years... probably a very close tie between Supcomm:FA, Neocron and WoW, I think WoW just edges it, but several whole weekends lost to SC:FA (81x81 4 way maps... 6-7hours/game XD)

Extend it to past 15 years, and UO trumps all of those :p (actually, worryingly probably more time on UO than all of those combined!!)

I dont get performance issues at all. Use the client? Im using a 5870 all maxed out. No issues except W2 GE.

I've used several clients and the browser version and all have been the same, tried every single renderer, OpenGL, DX, and Software and all the same, framerates themselves are smooth but the second I try and spin the camera it stutters around like hell, it's horrific.

HD6850 w/ FX-4100 3.6ghz, so I massively exceed even the maximum requirements. Graphics settings doesn't lessen the stuttering either. :(
