What game have you spent the most time on?

oh yeh. forgot about how much i used to play quake. an extraordinary single play FPS for its time (and still is)

I very neally completed it on nightmare mode!
 
Quakeworld - been playing for 8 years.

At one time I was probably playing around 20-40hrs per week. Wouldn't suprise me if something like 5-6 months of my life in realtime (24hr days) have been spent playing this game.

In fact I'd say that I've probably spent more time playing QW as I have on all other games combined, since I started it.
 
Quake 2 closely followed by Quake 3. I used to average around 4 or 5 hours a night (weekdays) and more on weekends. That went on for literally years.

For single player, probably Elite on the C64.
 
I couldn't clock my amount of hours back then but I'm sure Dune2 would even rival my 300 hours of BF2. If not that, then Ultima6. I still need to play that all the way through one day, the game was just too huge...
 
Whats the highest rank people got on Elite, now that was a game that could suck time up. I havent played it properly since days of 8 bit but think I was mostly harmless, not very high at all.

Also got about a month of bf2 playtime, equal to 7 cents an hour apparently. Beats what wow costs quite easily then :D

Also completed amoungst others - driver 1/2, carmeggedon, starcraft, all the dooms and battle isle even when the computer took 12 hours to decide its move..
 
If I believe what Xfire says then Everquest 2 with 1337 hours played... no joke... how cool is that :cool: ... or not :( :p
 
hmmm, here's a list of games I've spent the most time on over the years:

Elite (BBC)
Street Fighter 2 (Arcade/SNES)
Doom (PSX)
Golden Eye (N64)
RTCW MP (PC)
and more recently, Oblivion (PC)

very difficult to choose the number 1 time waster out of that lot. :)
 
Star Wars Galaxies for sure, grinding out my Jedi template being the most i've ever played in sessions.

Secondly WoW, no other game has really touched those kind of hours, SOF2 coming close but nothing will beat MMO time.
 
Ultima Online, followed by WoW and Anarchy Online. It'll take a while though before my hours spent on WoW catches up with UO :o

rollercoaster tycoon
champ manager
old school CS ie 1.6

now i think it would be neverwinter nights possibly COD 1 as well but seing as my mouse has packed in i havent played that for a week or two
 
On PC i have to say AvP2, i used to play it religiously. Including consoles, it has to be Gran Turismo 3, i played that game for over 3 years, almost every day.
 
UO by literally months and years... that game destroyed me

Then probably HL 1 engine mods (CS TFC DOD)
 
Everquest 1, not sure how many hours but it was most of the two years I was at college so it's probably pretty high :p
Followed by CS1.6, probably a good 600-700 hours over the years.
